A new exhibit celebrating the life of Sauk Centre native Sinclair Lewis opens this weekend. "Sinclair Lewis 100 Years of Main Street" opens Saturday at the Minnesota History Center in St. Paul.

The life and legacy of Sinclair Lewis is being celebrated in St. Cloud this week. The author of the world famous book "Mainstreet" grew-up in Sauk Centre, but thanks to his brother Claude, he also has close ties to St. Cloud.

On this date, December 10th, in 1930, Sauk Centre native Sinclair Lewis became the first American to be awarded a Nobel Prize for Literature.
