Students are getting a first-hand experience at St. Cloud State University this week. The university is hosting its Scrubs Camp for the third year in a row.
Giving students a hands-on learning experience and exposing them to careers in healthcare is the mission of St. Cloud State University's Scrubs Camp. Leah Meredith is the Experiential Learning and Outreach Director at St. Cloud State she says the program helps give students a realistic idea of what it's like to work in today's healthcare industry.
Around 80 area high school and middle school students are receiving first hand experience working in the healthcare profession this week. The first-ever Scrubs Camp in St. Cloud is providing students entering grades 6-12, an opportunity to explore the many careers within the medical field.
