Over 70 teams from all over Minnesota competed at the 3rd annual SCAYBA-Granite City Sports Youth Basketball Tournament this weekend.

Thousands of youth basketball players, and their families, will be in town this weekend. The St. Cloud Area Youth Basketball Association is hosting their annual "Quarry Classic". Tournament Director Jake Welch says says every hotel room in the metro area is sold out.

Thousands of youth basketball players and their fans will be coming to St. Cloud this weekend for the 2015 Quarry Classic. Over 400 games will be played this weekend and Tournament Director Jake Welch says it's a challenge to coordinate a tournament this size.

Whitney Recreation Center has 2 new scoreboards. The 2 were installed this week after a $8,000 contribution from St. Cloud Youth Basketball Association. SCAYBA presented a check to the city of St. Cloud at a City Council meeting after the city asked to replace 2 aging scoreboards at the facility.

The St. Cloud Area Youth Basketball Association will hold it's travel tryouts this Saturday and Sunday at Whitney Rec Center in North St. Cloud. The Boys will hold their tryouts on Saturday September 15 with the girls holding their tryouts on Sunday September 16. The tryouts are for 4th graders thru 8th graders for both boys and girls.
