From toy drives to kickball tournaments a Sauk Rapids man is giving back to his community all while staying active. The community officially honored this year's "Sauk Rapids Citizen Of the Year" Monday with an open house and a mayor's proclamation.
A man who has spent the past several years fundraising for causes both locally and globally has been named the Sauk Rapids Citizen of the Year for 2019.
It's the time of the year to nominate Sauk Rapids residents for the annual "Citizen Of The Year" award. Nominees can be active in faith-based or civic organizations, boards or commissions, community groups or business activities.
Sauk Rapids has honored its "Citizen of the year". Robyn Paul was recognized this (Monday) evening with a reception and program at the Government Center. Paul has volunteered nearly 1,000 hours at Good Shepard since 2006.
The 28th annual Sauk Rapids Citizen Of The Year was honored today (Monday). This year's honoree is former mayor Mark Campbell. He says it means a lot to him to receive the award.
