Rochester Honkers

The Rox split a pair of games with Rochester at Joe Faber Field Wednesday in St. Cloud. St. Cloud won the afternoon game 9-5 before falling in the night cap 8-6. In the afternoon game the Rox came from down 3-0 in the 6th inning with a 5-run 6th inning, a 3-run 7th inning and a single run in the 8th inning to prevail 9-5.

The St. Cloud Rox blew out Rochester 15-0 Monday night for their 47th win this season. The Rox are just 1 win away from clinching the best record in the Northwoods League and home field advantage throughout the playoffs.

The Rox won their 6th game in a row 6-2 in Rochester against the Honkers. St. Cloud had 3 hits and 2 RBIs from Jordan Barth, Caleb Ricketts added 2 hits and 2 RBIs and Andrew Pinckney had 2 hits, a run scored and 1 RBI. Noah Myhre threw 6 2/3 innings with 4 hits and 2 earned runs allowed to get the win.

ROCHESTER - The St. Cloud Rox were able to ride a big 5th inning on Tuesday night as they took down the Rochester Honkers 9-3. St. Cloud put the game away in that inning thanks to three bases loaded walks, followed by a 3 run double from Ben Norman.

The St. Cloud Rox were leading the Rochester Honkers 6-3 going into the 8th inning Saturday night in St. Cloud, but a 5 run inning for Rochester put them ahead they held on to beat the Rox 8-6.

The Rochester Honkers are cancelling 7 games due to a new player testing positive for Covid-19 at an initial screening. The St. Cloud Rox games scheduled for Rochester Sunday and Monday are among the cancellations. The Rox will play Mankato Monday at 7:05 to replace one of the missed Rochester games.

St. Cloud defeated the Rochester Honkers 5-3 at home on Saturday night behind Trevor Koenig's 7th win of the season. Koenig shutout Rochester in 8 innings while scattering 5 hits and picking up 6 strikeouts.

The St. Cloud Rox managed to split a pair of 7 inning games on Wednesday in Rochester, falling 3-2 to the Honkers in game 1 and winning game 2 by the score of 4-3.

The Rox lost 3-1 at home against Rochester Tuesday night to open what is now a 3-game series.

Rochester downed the St. Cloud Rox 2-1 Thursday night at Joe Faber Field with former Professor Wrestler Hacksaw Jim Duggan in attendance. Rochester broke the 1-all tie with a run in the 6th inning.
