Members of the Waite Park city council and city staff will be heading to Lincoln, Nebraska Thursday to get some more intel on building their proposed amphitheater.
Waite Park Mayor Rick Miller appeared on WJON with Jay Caldwell Thursday and gave an update on the state of the city. Miller said they continue to look to develop the land behind the Menards on the westside of Waite Park.
Rick Miller has big plans for Waite Park in his next term as mayor. Miller ran unopposed in last week's election. He says a top priority is the extension of 18th Avenue behind Menard's.
The city of Waite Park is expecting to lose an additional $237,000 in Local Government Aid in 2011. That's on top of the nearly $633,000 that has already been cut. In his State of the City Address this morning, Miller says budgeting will be difficult with lower revenues and increased demand for services.
