The Red Bull Crashed Ice event returns to St. Paul this weekend. And, once again this year, one of the top competitors is expected to be former St. Cloud State University student Cameron Naasz.

The Red Bull Crashed Ice is event is back in downtown St. Paul this weekend, and once again this year one of the top competitors is expected to be a student from St. Cloud State University. Cameron Naasz says it's great to be back in front of the home crowd.

It's expected to be one of the busiest weekends ever in downtown St. Paul. A number of events will draw large crowds to the Capital city, including: the St. Paul Winter Carnival, the Red Bull Crashed Ice event, and a college hockey tournament.

St. Cloud State University student Cameron Naasz finished 3rd overall, and was the top American racer, this weekend at the Red Bull Crashed Ice event in St. Paul. Naasz had 600 points, and only trailed two Canadians in the final standings.

Hockey players turned speed skaters are getting ready for another wild ride in St. Paul this weekend. The 2nd annual Red Bull Crashed Ice event runs through Saturday night, with the World Championship finals starting at 7:00 p.m. Saturday in front of the St. Paul Cathedral.

A St. Cloud man was the top American finisher at this weekend's Red Bull Crashed Ice event in St. Paul. Cameron Naasz finished 24th overall, and also won the Rookie Award as the best newcomer.
