The Waite Park Public Works department will soon have a brand new building. The city held a ground breaking ceremony this (Thursday) morning for the new 65,000 square foot facility.
After 36 years in the business the Sartell Public Works Director is calling it a career. During tonight’s (Monday) city council meeting, Brad Borders announced his retirement from the position he's held for the last 26 years in Sartell.
With a lack of space inside the public works facility, the Waite Park city council is looking at constructing a new building. During this (Thursday) morning's work session the council looked over design options for the proposed building. Public Works Director Bill Schluenz says a new facility has been in discussion for the last seventeen years.

After working as the Cold Spring city public works director for the past 20 years, Paul Hoeschen is moving on to a new job in Sauk Centre. Hoeschen is leaving to become superintendent of public utlities in Sauk Centre in early July.
