Tensions ran high at tonight's (Wednesday) meeting discussing the future of Kraemer Lake-Wildwood Park in St. Joseph.

Two Stearns County Parks will be closed for the next several weeks for a special hunting program. Midwest Outdoors Unlimited is hosting a wild turkey hunt for disabled veterans and other disabled hunters.

Sartell officials have agreed to acquire one piece of land and sell another. During tonight's (Monday) special meeting the city council discussed in a closed session whether or not to sell about .75 acres of land at 632 Riverside Avenue South and purchase two other properties near Val Smith Park and Sauk River Regional Park.

An issue on wood cutting near city park boundaries has raised questions for Sartell officials. During this (Tuesday) evenings city council meeting the topic of wood cutting practices for home owners near city parks sparked discussion.

A lack of snow has put a stop to cross-country skiing at Stearns County parks.

With the snow piling up, the Stearns County Parks Department is in need for people for its ski patrol team.
