The Timberwolves are reportedly close to a 3-team trade that will send 6'10 power forward Michael Beasley to the Lakers and net them shooting guard Jamal Crawford from Portland. In the deal guard Steve Blake would go from Los Angeles to Portland. Crawford is a 31-year old 6'5 shooting guard who averages 14.2 points a game. He's an 11-year veteran.

The Timberwolves won 109-97 at Los Angeles against the Clippers Tuesday night. Minnesota outscored the Clippers 36-21 in the 4th quarter. Michael Beasley and Derrick Williams each scored 27 points for Minnesota and Nikola Pekovic had 12 points. Blake Griffin led the Clippers with 30 points.

The Timberwolves lost 103-101 in overtime at Denver Monday night. Arron Afflalo made the tie-breaking floater with :33 left in overtime. Kevin Love led the Wolves with 22 points and 13 rebounds, Michael Beasley added 17 points and Ricky Rubio chipped in 16 points and 5 assists for Minnesota. The Wolves shot 36 percent while Denver shot 40 percent from the field.

The Timberwolves won 120-108 at Houston Monday night to improve to 10-11 on the season. Michael Beasley led the Wolves with 34 points, Kevin Love added 29 points and Ricky Rubio chipped in 18 points, 11 assists and 8 rebounds. Kevin Martin led Houston with 29 points.

The Timberwolves won 85-84 at Milwaukee in preseason play Wednesday night. Kevin Love led the Wolves with 22 points and 16 rebounds and Michael Beasley added 12 points. Beasley made 2 free throws with 9.1 seconds left to help the Wolves to the win. Minnesota shot 41 percent while Milwaukee shot 43 percent.

The Timberwolves will give 65-year old head coaching candidate Rick Adelman a 2nd interview. He is the first coaching candidate to get a 2nd interview. He is scheduled to meet with Wolves owner Glen Taylor today. Adelman has a .605 winning percentage having coached 20 seasons with Portland, Sacramento, Golden State and Houston.

Timberwolves forward Michael Beasley was cited for marijuana possession and speeding last week in Minnetonka while driving on 394. He was stopped for driving 84 mph in a 65 mph zone. The officer found 16.2 grams of marijuana under the front passenger seat in Beasley's car which Beasley claims is his friends.

The Timberwolves lost 108-98 to the Phoenix Suns Wednesday night at Target Center. Minnesota has lost 11 straight games and are 17-62 this season with 3 games remaining. Michael Beasley led the Wolves with 24 points and 11 rebounds and Anthony Randolph added 19 points.

The Timberwolves lost 107-105 at New Jersey Tuesday night. Deron Williams made the game-winning jumper for the Nets with less than 2 seconds left. Williams finished with 18 points and 21 assists. Michael Beasley led the Wolves with 20 points and 11 rebounds and Anthony Randolph added 20 points and 10 rebounds for Minnesota.

The Timberwolves lost 85-82 Sunday night at Target Center to the Boston Celtics. Kevin Garnett made his return to Minnesota and had 13 points and 13 rebounds. Garnett was mostly cheered by Minnesota fans. The Wolves were led by Michael Beasley with 28 points and Anthony Tolliver added 16 points and 15 rebounds.
