Movies are not the only thing you will be able to watch at Marcus Theatres in Waite Park. The movie theatre has installed Direct TV into one of their projectors to broadcast live events.

Movie Theatres across the country and trying to keep up with ticket demands for the upcoming Star Wars movie. Tickets went on sale on Monday night and Marcus Theatres General Manager Ben Reiners says they had a record number of users on their website at one time ordering tickets.

The movie industry has continued to grow from back in the days of film strips. Marcus Theatre's has come along way from being a drive-in theatre, an 8 cinema complex, to having as many as 17 screens today.

Marcus Theatres is set to begin an extensive $3.37 million renovation on its 18-screen building. New additions planned include a Zaffiro's Pizzeria and bar which will seat around 100 people.
