There is plenty of fun things to do around central Minnesota this Memorial Day weekend. Take a ride down the Mississippi River in a canoe, hear the songs of Waylon Jennings at Rollies, visit the animals at the Safari North Wildlife Park, enjoy some live music in Waite Park and hear a Led Zepplin Tribute band in St. Joseph. For ten years thousands of people gather in fields near Royalton for three days of rock with the party known as Halfway Jam. Sandy Henry and her husband started Halfway Jam after touring other concerts they visited over the years.
Since Thursday the St. Cloud area has been a buzz with all of the event for Granite City Days. The parade, Lemonade Art Fair, 5K are just a few things that happened throughout the weekend finishing with today's events which started with the Airport Breakfast.
