Friends and family of Larry Haws will gather this (Monday) afternoon. The Celebration of Larry's Life will be from 1:00 until 5:00 p.m. at the River's Edge Convention Center.
Stearns County has honored Larry Haws for his work on the Beaver Island Trail. Haws helped the project get started while he was in the St. Cloud Park and Rec Department in 1991.

One of the callers was former DFL Representative Larry Haws of St. Cloud. He says he believes it will pass and become law. And he says he has his feet "firmly planted on both sides of the issue".
Former State Representative Larry Haws continues to recover from brain surgery. Haws was first diagnosed with four tumors on the brain in January. He had surgery then, and just last week he had another operation.
Former State Representative Larry Haws of St. Cloud is scheduled to leave the hospital tomorrow (Tuesday). According to his Caring Bridge website, he'll leave the hospital tomorrow and start radiation/chemotherapy on Wednesday at the Coborn Cancer Center.
Former State Representative Larry Haws of St. Cloud is recovering from brain surgery. Larry's wife Faye says he was admitted to St. Cloud Hospital on Monday night. Tests revealed he had fluid and a tumor on the right side of his brain. He's still recovering in the I.C.U. unit today (Thursday).
