An 11-year-old girl suffered bone-deep lacerations when what was probably a fish chewed on her foot and ankle as she cooled off in a northeastern Minnesota lake.
Two people are safe after their pickup when through the ice. The incident happened at about 12:20 p.m. Sunday on Horseshoe Lake in rural Munson Township, near Richmond.
For the second time this week, another child was rescued after falling in a Morrison County Lake. The incident happened just before 7:30 p.m. last (Tuesday) night on Shamineau Lake near Motley.
A truck reported stolen in March of 2000 was found at the bottom of a lake yesterday (Sunday). The Benton County Sheriff's Office says they received a call at about 2:00 p.m. from an individual who was fishing on Mayhew Lake, when he spotted what was believed to be a pickup truck with his underwater camera.
