Stearns County Commissioners Joe Perske, Tarryl Clark and Steve Notsch spent some time in Washington D.C. this week at the National Association of County Legislators conference.

Stearns County returned to in-person meetings in 2021 but they are now considering returning to remote meetings. Stearns County Commissioner Joe Perske joined me on WJON today.

My guest this time on WJON's My Life series is Stearns County Commissioner Joe Perske. Joe is a Central Minnesota native having grown up in Sauk Rapids and St. Cloud. He is an Apollo High School graduate before moving on to college at St. John's. He and his wife Jan met in high school and have been married for 42 years.

A former mayor of Sartell is excited to get to work on the Stearns County Board of Commissioners after he unseated the incumbent in District 2 Tuesday night. Joe Perske defeated Mark Bromenschenkel for the chance to serve parts of Sartell, Waite Park and St. Joseph.

The three candidates running to replace Michele Bachmann in Congress met in a debate in St. Cloud today (Tuesday). The three men are running to replace current Congresswoman Michele Bachmann, who is not seeking re-election. The Sixth District Candidate debate was hosted by the St. Cloud Area Chamber of Commerce and the St. Cloud Rotary Club.
