Ever since the city of St. Cloud sold off some land in Heritage Park a little over a year ago there has been a misconception by many that the park no longer exists. However, the reality is Heritage Park is still a very sizable natural park in St. Cloud.

A lawsuit has been filed against the city of St. Cloud over the land where a Costco store is being built. A group called "Citizens for Government Accountability", who describe themselves as St. Cloud taxpayers, filed the lawsuit in Stearns County Court Thursday morning.

Despite several residents speaking out against the project, the St. Cloud City Council has given their first official approval of a plan to allow Costco to move into town.

If you're excited about Costco's plan to build a store in St. Cloud you'll be interested to know the first official step in making that a reality could happen Tuesday night. The St. Cloud Planning Commission will hold a public hearing to rezone 18 acres of land in Heritage Park.

Costco is moving into town. St. Cloud Mayor Dave Kleis has confirmed that Costco is the major retailer planning to move into the Heritage park land.
