Central Minnesota's biggest rock music festival is taking the year off.

You will not be bored this weekend as Central Minnesota will be full of great entertainment including Halfway Jam in Roylaton, Lou Gramm performing at Takin It To The Streets in downtown St. Cloud, The Goo Goo Dolls rocking Mystic Lake Casnio, 3 Doors Down and Three Days Grace at Grand Casino Hinkley and WJON's Kelly Cordes performing at Pioneer Place. It's that time of year again where rock music fans make their way to Royalton for Halfway Jam.

Central Minnesota's annual summer rock festival, Halfway Jam, has new owners who intent on bringing in bigger and better acts for 2016.

Skillet replaces Buckcherry in the Halfway Jam lineup which also features Night Ranger, Autograph, Hinder, Saving Abel, and Puddle of Mudd. Halfway Jam Producer Tommy Vee says a new pre-party show was also added to the lineup.

Whether by trailer, mobile home, or tent thousands of people are gathering in fields near Royalton for three days of rock at Halfway Jam.

A three-day rock n' roll show gets underway near Royalton today. The three-day show boasts 26 bands on two stages over three days.

The annual rock festival "Halfway Jam" is this weekend. Festival officials say camping spots are available. The ability to camp was apparently up in the air for a while, due to the the state government shutdown and not having the necessary permitting, but that's all been worked-out.
