Habitat for Humanity

A group of electricians who are also veterans stepped up to help with a Habitat for Humanity Veterans Build Saturday.

Veterans Build serve veterans and their families with new homes and zero-interest mortgages.

Another year means another home for one lucky family built by the students at St. Cloud Tech High School.

After starting their dream home months ago, the family of Deeq Mohamud and Nasra Omar got to see the finished product Thursday night.

Children will grow and many family memories will be made inside a new Habitat for Humanity house in Sauk Rapids. The home is known as a "Unity Build" Central MN Habitat for Humanity Construction Manager, Art Buhs says the house is designed to bring people of different walks of life together.

St. Cloud Technical and Community College is partnering with Habitat for Humanity to give students a hands on learning experience. Fifteen students in the college's architectural construction class created designs for the non-profit's next house.

Counter tops, light fixtures and windows are just a few items pouring in to a St. Cloud non-profit organization.

Some of us had a chance to build a bird house in our high school tech-ed class....A group of Tech students recently outdid this (a lot) by building an entire house. 15 Tech juniors and seniors have been working on the house since last September in partnership with Habitat for Humanity.

Tech High School students are working with Habitat for Humanity to build a home that will be used by an area family in need. Tech High juniors and seniors from the career and technical education programs will be building a six-bedroom home in the parking lot on the corner of Division and 14th Avenue.
