The University of Minnesota men’s basketball team pushed past the Arkansas State Red Wolves 72-56 at home on Saturday.

The 14th ranked Gopher men's basketball team is 5-0 after a 100-57 win over Alabama A&M last night at Williams Arena. The Gophers had 5 players scored in double figures led by Jordan Murphy with 20 points and 10 rebounds and Devonte Fitzgerald with 13 points and 8 rebounds.

Three Gopher men's basketball players have been suspended for the season. The 3 are guards Nate Mason, Dupree McBrayer and Kevin Dorsey. The 3 were suspended for the Illinois game Sunday night for a violation of a team rule.

The Gopher men's basketball team lost 68-64 at Williams Arena Wednesday night. Minnesota trailed by 7 at halftime but cut the lead to 2 with just seconds remaining. Sophomore Nate Mason led the Gophers with 15 points,

The Gopher men's basketball team finished the non-conference schedule with a 6-6 record after losing 74-65 to UW-Milwaukee Wednesday night. Minnesota trailed 37-32 at halftime. The Gophers took a brief lead in the 2nd half but couldn't hold on.

The Gopher men's basketball team defeated Minnesota-Duluth 95-68 Thursday night at Williams Arena. Minnesota had 5 players score in double figures led by junior college transfer Carlos Morris with 23 points on 10-17 shooting.

The Minnesota Golden Gophers Men's Basketball team snapped a three game losing streak thanks to their 66-60 victory over Indiana last night (Saturday).

The Gopher men's basketball team defeated Lehigh 81-62 at Williams Arena Friday night. Minnesota led 37-18 at halftime and cruised in the 2nd half.

The Gopher men's basketball team announced their 13-game non-conference schedule for the 2013-2014 season. The Gophers will play 9 of those 13 games at home including Lehigh on November 8 to begin the season.

Gopher senior forward/center Trevor Mbakwe has been named the Big Ten player of the week for leading the Gophers to wins over #1 Indiana and last place Penn State. Mbakwe posted double-doubles in both Gopher wins including a season high 21 points and 12 rebounds in the win over Indiana.
