Defending the Blue Line

The Granite City Lumberjacks Junior Hockey team is supporting military families with their weekend series with La Crosse. The Lumberjacks host La Crosse Friday and Saturday nights at 7:30. The Lumberjacks will be auctioning off signed Minnesota Wild jerseys from Zach Parise and Charlie Coyle along with other auction items.

You can help raise money for the children of armed service members this weekend with the Granite City Lumberjacks as they hold their Military Appreciation Nights.

I talked with Rocky Johnstone from the Granite City Lumberjacks today. He talked about their "Defending the Blue Line" fundraising event scheduled for Saturday at Rhino Deck Arena (Sports Arena East) in Sauk Rapids.

There's more than one way to honor those who served our country, and the Granite City Lumberjacks are doing just that.
