CVS Pharmacy is opening a store in Albany this summer. The CVS store will be at the corner of Railroad Road and 8th Street. City Administrator Tom Schneider says construction has started. The locally owned Albany Apothecary pharmacy isn't expecting the CVS to have much of an impact on them.

CVS Caremark is kicking the habit of selling tobacco products at its more than 7,600 drugstores nationwide. The nation's second-largest drugstore chain says it will phase out cigarettes, cigars and chewing tobacco by Oct. 1 as it continues to focus more on health care.

A highly visible St. Cloud intersection is going to get a major overhaul. The St. Cloud city council took action Monday night that will allow a planned redevelopment at the corner of Division Street and 25th Avenue. The six lot area will include a CVS Pharmacy.

A St. Cloud landmark could be moving off Division Street and just down the block if plans for a new CVS Pharmacy go through. Dairy Queen on Division has been at that location since 1949. It has been in owner Bob Lahr's family since 1953. Now, in its third generation, Lahr says it may be time to move.
