The snowfall has caused several crashes in the St. Cloud area this (Thursday) morning. The St. Cloud Police department is reminding you to drive with caution and slow down.
Authorities say one person is dead after a multivehicle crash on Interstate 94 between Clearwater and Hasty as a winter storm made roads slippery. The Minnesota State Patrol says the 44-year-old driver of an SUV from Maple Grove, Holly Hogulund Klein, was killed after a semi struck several vehicles, which then struck other cars.
St. Cloud Police respond to two separate car crashes in a four hour span yesterday (Friday). Officers responded to the first crash on Highway 23 and 33rd Avenue just after 3:00 p.m.
It's been a busy day today (Monday) for law enforcement and towing companies. The State Patrol's Jesse Grabow says between 5:00 and 7:00 p.m.., there were 45 crashes in the St. Cloud area including two rollover-type crashes.
The State Patrol was busy responding to crashes over the weekend. Statewide they say there were nearly 640 crashes during the storm, 63 of them involved injuries, and there was one fatal crash.
