The next generation of problem solvers will be putting their skills to the test this weekend. St. Cloud State University kicked off their second Huskies Invent event on Friday night.

Coldspring (formerly known as Coldspring Granite) has acquired a Texas based stone manufacturing company.

From starting off as a small granite company, to contributing to the war effort during World War II, Coldspring has been playing an intricate role in central Minnesota for over a century.

This week for our "Behind the Scenes" series we took a trip to a charcoal granite quarry mine in south St. Cloud.

Residents in Southwest St. Cloud had their first opportunity to speak out about a proposed quarry expansion, during this (Tuesday) evening's Zoning Board of Appeals meeting.
