Class C State Amateur Baseball Tournament

The Buckman Billygoats lost 12-3 to the Nisswa Lightning in the Class C State Amateur Baseball Championship game in Faribault on Labor Day. The Billygoats posted wins over Waconia 8-5 Saturday and Dumont 13-4 Sunday and Watertown 6-4 on Sunday.

Sobieski captured the Class C State Amateur Baseball title on Labor Day with a 3-0 win in 11 innings in Waconia against Watertown. This was the 4th state championship game appearance for the Skis in 8 years.

The Sartell Muskies defeated the Wanamingo Jacks 4-1 Friday in Waconia to advance to play the Bluffton Braves at 7:30 p.m. Friday in Waconia. The Luxemburg Brewers survived with a 13-7 win over the Ada Athletics Sunday in Waconia. Luxemburg will play the Waconia Lakers at 7:30 p.m. Friday in Chaska.

Central Minnesota Amateur baseball teams had lots of success on the opening weekend of the Class C State Amateur Baseball Tournament. Games were played in Waconia, Hamburg and Chaska. The Sartell Muskies beat the Hutchinson Huskies 4-1, The Foley Lumberjacks downed the Stark Longhorns 6-4, the Luxemburg Brewers defeated the St. Benedict Saints 5-2,

The St. Cloud area will be well represented in the Class C State Amateur baseball tournament. The tournament starts this weekend and will be played in Waconia, Hamburg and Chaska. The Sartell Muskies will play the Hutchinson Huskies at 1:30 p.m.
