Although the flood warning for the Mississippi has been allowed to expire, the water levels remain high and the currents swift. Even so, Clear Waters Outfitting in Clearwater owner Dan Meer says the Mississippi River is still navigable below the St. Cloud dam.
So, last week we brought you the story of Todd Foster and Scott Miller, two canoeists who decided to paddle the over 120 mile-long Sauk River. Here's part two - when WJON's Abby Faulkner joined them for a day.
A pair of canoers will paddle the 110 mile long Sauk River, starting at Lake Osakis and ending in St. Cloud, where it empties into the Mississippi. The trip will take 8 days, and Scott Miller and Todd Foster will make evening stops in riverside towns to host meet and greets and other activities.
