The Vikings have clinched a playoff spot in the NFC and will be either the #3 seed or #2 seed. The Vikings will be the #3 seed and play the Giants at home in the first round unless they win Sunday at Chicago and the 49ers lose to the Cardinals.

As the start of the regular season begins, the Minnesota Vikings locked up a huge piece on their offensive line.

He says the Vikings wanted to restructure Reiff but that didn't appear to be possible. Jim says the Vikings could move either Brian O'Neill or Ezra Cleveland to left tackle or address the position in the draft or free agency.

The Vikings restructured the contract of left tackle Reilly Reiff this week. Star Tribune Sports Columnist Jim Souhan joined me on WJON today. Jim says Reiff will stay at left tackle for now but he says expected starting right tackle Brian O'Neill is a candidate to move to left tackle. He says O'Neill could be a really good football player in the NFL for a long time.
