A St. Cloud man has been sentenced to three years and four months in prison after his grandson mistook a sawed-off shotgun for a toy and shot another child last December.

A St. Cloud man has been charged after his grandson found a loaded gun and accidentally shot a toddler, wounding him.

Police say a young boy has died after he was struck by a stray bullet while sleeping on a couch at a Minneapolis home Tuesday. Authorities say the child, five or six years old, was sleeping on a couch when he was hit about 8:30 a.m. Adults in the home called 911 and the boy was rushed to North Memorial Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
