The Anna Marie's Alliance emergency shelter is using a $550,000 federal grant to develop a supervised visitation program for families involved in domestic violence.
According to Sandy Nadeau, Director of Development at Anna Marie's Alliance, undergarments, specifically new bras, are one of the most immediate needs for women at the shelter.
A plan to expand the Anna Marie's Alliance building has been given the approval by the St. Cloud City Council. The council needed to vote to rezone the property in that area in order for the project to move forward.
Anna Marie's Alliance is ready to start moving forward on their expansion plans. Executive Director Charles Hempeck says the first phase is a building they are calling "The Center For Family Peace".
