Today (Monday) we continue our countdown of the Top 10 local stories of the year with our number six story. It's a story that actually played-out across the pond over in London. During the Games of the XXX Olympiad July 27th through August 12th, we were fortunate enough to have not just one, but two, women from Stearns County competing for Team USA.
St. Cloud native Alise Post qualified in 8th place in the women's BMX racing event at the Olympic games in London. She said after the race she could have raced better but could have been worse. She is seeded 4th for her semifinal heat and needs to finish 4th or higher to advance to the finals.
Alise Post of St. Cloud is seeded eighth after today's (Wednesday) seeding run at the Olympic BMX bike competition. She'll race for the gold medal on Friday morning at 9:00 a.m. our time.
St. Cloud's Alise Post will finally make her Olympic debut tomorrow (Wednesday). She's competing in the BMX bike race. There will be a local viewing party tomorrow (Wednesday), and again on Friday, to watch her race live.
