AUSTIN, Minn. (AP) - Authorities have arrested an Austin man after another man was struck and killed by a sport utility vehicle in a field during a party.

The 26-year-old man reportedly turned himself in Sunday afternoon to the Freeborn County Law Enforcement Center after allegedly fleeing the scene the night before.

Charges are pending. Police are reportedly recommending charges of criminal vehicular homicide.

Sheriff's officials say 30-year-old Alex Tapp of Austin was struck by the Chevy Suburban while attending the pasture party in Oakland Township Saturday night.

Reports say other people at the party started CPR, but emergency responders were unable to revive him. The investigation is ongoing.
