ST. CLOUD - Laptops, ipads, smartphones -- there's lots of ways to stay connected to the internet.  A new survey suggests 30% of college students consider the internet just as important to them as water, food, and shelter.  St. Cloud State University student Ashli Gerdes agrees.

And, if they were forced to choose between a car and an internet connection, 64% of college students would choose the internet -- including Gerdes.

And one final thought, 40% of college students say the internet is more important to them than dating or going out with friend. The study was done by technology giant Cisco.
