ST. CLOUD -- Stearns County is working to see how it can help work with schools to identify and provide resources for children with mental health issues.

A Mental Health Task Force is finalizing a survey that will be given to schools later this month.

Stearns County Community Support Division Director Janet Reigstad says it makes sense because schools are working directly with kids on a daily basis.

The task force is made up of mental health providers, adults who use mental health services and parents of children with mental health issues.

The task force will use the survey to develop recommendations they will forward on to the county's Human Services Department.
