UPDATE: State Patrol Releases Name Of Woman Killed In Highway 23 Crash

ST. CLOUD - The State Patrol has been called to the scene of a deadly crash this (Saturday) morning.

The incident happened just before 9:00 a.m. on Highway 23 at the junction of Interstate 94.

A car came off Interstate 94 westbound and turned left into the eastbound lane of Highway 23.  The van was eastbound in the left lane of Highway 23. The two vehicles hit each other head-on.

The driver of the car was 27-year-old Ashley Gieseke of Big Lake. She suffered non life-threatening injuries.

A passenger in Gieseke's car, 19-year-old Megan Lehner of Monticello, died in the crash.

The driver of the van was 43-year-old Joseph Schramel of Belgrade.  He suffered non life-threatening injuries.  A passenger in the van, 12-year-old Elizabeth Schramel of Belgrade, has non life-threatening injuries.
