ST. CLOUD -- You may want to leave a few canned goods next to your candy bowl tonight (Thursday).

St. Cloud high school and junior high school students will be going door-to-door collecting non-perishable food items for the local food shelf.

Their efforts are part of an international campaign called, We Scare Hunger. The program encourages students to engage in local and global action services.

Tech High School participated last year and collected over 2,700 pounds of food. Students from Kennedy Elementary will also be out collecting canned food.
