St. Cloud Police Looking for Driver After Hit-and-Run Downtown

ST. CLOUD - St. Cloud police are asking for your help as they search for the driver involved in a hit-and-run with a pedestrian.

The incident happened at about 2:30 a.m. this (Monday) morning on 5th Avenue South in downtown St. Cloud, in front of the Red Carpet.

A 27-year-old Waite Park man was found lying on the ground, after being struck by a 1994 Maroon Ford Taurus.  The vehicle was left abandoned in the middle of the street.  The victim was taken to St. Cloud Hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the car hasn't been identified yet.  Anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or who may know the person who was driving the car, is asked to contact St. Cloud Police at 251-1200 or Tri-County Crimestoppers at 255-1301.
