St. Cloud Metro Unemployment Rate Drops to 5.1%

ST. CLOUD - The number of people looking for work has dropped back down to pre-recession levels in the St. Cloud Metro area.

The Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development says our unemployment rate for October is down to 5.1%, that's down from the 5.7% we had in September.

It's also the lowest the unemployment rate has been since it was at 5% in November of 2008.

The seasonally adjusted unemployment rate for the state as a whole is 6.4%, and for the entire country is still at 9%.
