Slippery Roads Blamed For Two Monday Crashes

ST. CLOUD -- A St. Cloud man suffered serious injuries after crashing his vehicle into a pole at Highway 15 and 3rd Street North Monday.

The crash happened just before 6:30 a.m. when 41-year-old Douglas Larsen lost control of his vehicle. He was alone at the time of the crash.

Authorities say it appears slippery roads may have contributed to the crash.

Larsen is listed in serious condition at St. Cloud Hospital.

Meanwhile, slippery roads are being blamed for a second crash that sent a Waite Park woman to the hospital Monday morning.

St. Cloud Police say 29-year-old April Marie Allen was heading north on Highway 15 when she lost control of her vehicle and struck a light pole at 12th Street North.

The crash happened just before 9:00 a.m. Monday.

Allen was alone at the time of the crash and is listed in fair condition at St. Cloud Hospital.
