Stearns County has put an application in to acquire 202 acres of park land near the golf course in Paynesville. Stearns County Commissioner Joe Perske joined me on WJON. He says the location of this potential park is just to the south and west of the golf course toward Lake Koronis.

The latest EPIC for Influencers event will take place tomorrow (Tuesday April 16) from 4-7 p.m. at the St. Cloud State University Fieldhouse. All of the bears in Minnesota are black bears. Glen Schmitt from Outdoor News says there is more bears in Central Minnesota than people realize. He says you just don't see them out and about very often.

The stream trout season opens Saturday in Minnesota. Glen Schmitt from Outdoor News joined me on WJON. He says we have trout fishing options in every region of the state. That consists of rainbow, brown, and brook trout.

The Twins vs. Tigers game scheduled for today has been postponed due to rainy weather in Detroit. The game will be made up as part of a traditional doubleheader Saturday April 13 with coverage starting on WJON at 11:30 a.m.

The Waite Park Police Department are reporting theft at a storage unit on the 500 block of 10th Avenue South. Alicia Mages from Tri-County Crime Stoppers says the lock was cut. The owner indicates some totes were taken that had tools and fishing gear.
