Waite Park Police are reporting a garage burglary on Park Meadows Drive where the owner of a garage noticed his garage was open despite him knowing he had closed it. Alicia Mages from Tri-County Crime Stoppers says they are still compiling an inventory of what was stolen.

To help tell the story of Maple Lake I was joined by volunteer archivist Sue Sylvester from the Maple Lake Library and former Wright County Archivist Betty Dircks.

Maple Lake is a town with a population of 2,159 in Wright County south and east of Clearwater. Highway 55 and County 8 are main routes to the city. Maple Lake was platted in 1886 and was named for Maple Lake Township.
