The St. Cloud State men's and women's basketball teams lost their NSIC openers Monday in Duluth. The games were postponed to Monday due to the Duluth area's massive snowfall and subsequent road closures.

The women's team fell by a 71-59 final score. The Huskies were led by Nikki Kilboten's 16 points, with Tori Wortz adding 12 in the loss. SCSU is 3-2 overall this season.

The men kept it close in the first half before Minnesota-Duluth pulled away for a 95-74 win. The Huskies trailed 46-41 at the half.

Trevon Marshall led SCSU with 23 points in the loss, while Diamond Onwuka added 13 points.

The Huskies will host the University of Mary this weekend at Halenbeck Hall. SCSU basketball can be heard all season long on AM 1390, Granite City Sports.
