SAUK CENTRE -- The Sauk Centre Country Club is moving.  The 9-hole golf course along Sauk Lake has been sold to a developer.

Country Club Board President Loren Beste says they have purchased the GreyStone Golf Club in an effort to grow their membership numbers.  Beste says when the GreyStone Golf Club and Lynx National Golf Course were built in the late 1990's, their membership numbers went down dramatically.  He says having an 18-hole course should help them attract more members.

Beste says the general public won't notice a difference because GreyStone Golf Club will still be open for public play.

He says most people want to play an 18-hole golf course and it will help them attract more tournaments and business gatherings.

The old Sauk Centre County Club has been bought by a developer who will build patio homes along the course and add a marina on Sauk Lake.
