Rox Split Doubleheader With Express Sunday

The Rox split a doubleheader with the Eau Claire Express Sunday at Joe Faber Field. St. Cloud shut out the Express 2-0 in game one, then were shut out 5-0 in game two.

Reese Gregory earned a complete game shutout in game one, going seven innings while allowing no runs on six hits. The former Apollo standout struck out five and walked one to earn the win.

Chris Paul was 1-2 with a solo home run to pace the offense, his eighth of the season.

Eau Claire scored a pair of runs in the top of the first inning in game two and never looked back. Express pitching held the Rox to just five hits in the game.

St. Cloud falls to 16-15 on the season, 2.5 games behind the Willmar Stingers. The Rox have six games remaining in the regular season beginning with tonight’s game at Rochester.
