Quarry Park Cross Country Ski Trails Are Open [AUDIO,VIDEO]

Ashli Gerdes

WAITE PARK — Quarry Park finally got the snow it needed to open their ski trails on Monday.

Ski enthusiasts can enjoy the recently groomed four-point-three mile cross country ski trails.

For those that work during the day, Quarry Park is open at night, and home to the longest lighted ski trail in Minnesota.

The park runs a ski patrol program where guests can volunteer to patrol the trails and gain access to free skiing all winter long.

Stearns County Park Department operations coordinator, Pete Theismann says volunteer ski patrols help keep the park running.
