SARTELL - Fire crews responded to a call to the site of the former Verso Paper Mill in Sartell this (Thursday) morning.

Sartell Fire Department Captain Jerry Raymond says the fire started in a former office building.  It burned the contents of one room, and part of an outside wall.  The fire was contained to just the one room.

An employee for AIM Development, the new owners of the mill, tell WJON news that a piece of insulation fell and caught on fire in an old office building.  He described it as a small fire, which was quickly put out.

Besides the Sartell Fire Department, crews from Sauk Rapids, St. Cloud and Waite Park were also on the scene.

The call came in at about 6:40 a.m.

The Fire Marshal is on the scene still investigating.

AIM began demolition the former paper mill earlier this month.
