WORTHINGTON (AP) — Residents in Nobles County may be without power through Friday, after a spring snow and ice storm knocked down power lines in the area.

Nobles Cooperative Electric says Sunday that crews are still trying to restore power to residents in southwestern Minnesota. As of Sunday morning, 2,000 members were still without power.

The company estimates 90 percent of members in the Murray County area will see their power restored on Sunday. But Nobles County members will be without power for longer.

Federated Rural Electric says it had nearly 300 customers without power as of Sunday morning.

Meanwhile, Nobles County authorities are still seeking volunteers to help with storm cleanup efforts.
