The first round of the NFL draft is tonight and the Vikings hold the 12th overall pick.  Carolina will select first and is expected to take Auburn quarterback Cam Newton.  Vikings Vice President of Player Personnel Rick Spielman says the Vikings are more likely to trade down than trade up but they may keep that pick and make a selection.  If the Vikings keep their 12th overall pick they could pick defensive tackle Nick Fairley of Auburn, California defensive end Cam Jordan or Washington quarterback Jake Locker.  Spielman has said the Vikings would like to trade down and get a 3rd round pick to replace the one they gave up in the Randy Moss trade last season.  The Vikings have a total of 9 picks in the 3-day NFL draft.  One in the first round, 1 in the 2nd, 1 in the 4th, 2 in the 5th, 2 in the 6th and 2 in the 7th.  Hear NFL draft coverage tonight on AM 1390-the Fan.
