Monticello Snowmobile Driver Killed In Crash With Pick-Up

CLEARWATER - A Monticello man has died after the snowmobile he was driving was struck by a pick-up.

The Wright County Sheriff's Department says the incident happened just after 2:00 p.m. on Saturday on County Road 75 just south of Clearwater.

Thirty-four year old Jeffrey Waldstein was on a snowmobile trail when the incident happened.

Twenty-seven year old Garhard Hendricks of Long Prairie was backing down a driveway when he struck the sled.

Waldstein was taken to Monticello Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
