NEW RESTAURANT IN ST CLOUD

There is a new restaurant in St. Cloud. I was recently driving across Division on Hwy 15 and saw a bright red sign that said HuHot! I had to know more, so I made plans to stop by earlier this week and check it out. I had such an amazing experience that I wanted to share it with you.

THE GRAND TOUR

George, the General Manager of HuHot in St. Cloud, gave me the grand tour since I'd never been there before. As I entered the restaurant, I noticed they had a nice bar area, where you can get about anything you want, including sake and beer, soda, water, hot tea, coffee, and more. What I was impressed with is that it is an all-you-can-eat Mongolian grill. If you want to get just one big plate, go for it. If you want to make several trips to the grill, you can do that, too!

AMPLE SPACE

As I looked across the large restaurant, I noticed that they had ample seating for families, parties of two, or huge groups. The restaurant was very clean and spacious.

HOW IT WORKS

George took me over to the food bars to explain how the process works. He gave me a bowl and a plate and told me to start filling up. Our first stop was a huge bar of large cut vegetables, including spinach, onions, peppers, and so many other choices. Those were the vegetables I wanted. Then he walked me to another bar with smaller chopped veggies and more. From this bar, I chose green onions, pineapple, and carrots.

Then we went to the meat section. What do you fancy? Do you like hot sausage? Mild sausage? Fish? Krab? Chicken? Grab as much as you want. Asain meatballs, salmon, scallops, beef, and more.

On to the next location. Noodles anyone? How about rice? Whether you like pad thai noodles, zucchini noodles, Chinese noodles, white or fried rice, they have all of it!

Are we done yet? No! Now we need to choose the sauces. If you like it hot, they've got it. I like things mild, and they've got that too! I chose a garlic oil to fry my dish in, and then chose a few different flavors of ginger and garlicly.

OFF TO THE GRILL

Now it's off to the grill. I gave my plate and bowl to the cook. They placed my food on the grill. I asked George how long it typically takes to grill your food, and I believe he said it was usually under two minutes. So if you want to make multiple trips to the grill, you can and still be done in a timely manner.

Once my food was ready, there were lots of toppers to add. I added some sunflower seeds and coconut flakes to mine.

They asked me if I wanted a side dish of white or fried rice so of course, I said yes. I sat down to enjoy my dish that I created, along with some tasty fried rice.

I was SO happy with my meal. It was more than I could eat, and I was able to bring it home, since I only made one stop at the bar.

APPETIZERS

They also have some pretty addictive appetizers! I tried the Taste of the Bounty... Egg rolls, potstickers and Krab Rangoons. Yeah! Who doesn't?  They were incredible. The platter came with a dipping sauce that made them irresistible.

Finally, George said that they had some pretty delicious desserts as well. Cheesecake Rangoons? Oh...my...goodness. I had cheesecake Rangoons...drizzled with raspberry sauce, served with a bowl of vanilla ice cream.

THOUGHTS

My overall opinion?

  • Excellent service.
  • Fast service.
  • Clean restaurant.
  • Unbelievable options.
  • The vegetable bars were immaculate, which is unheard of.
  • Everything was fresh, fresh, fresh.
  • I'm craving them right now.
  • Fair Pricing: I felt the price was super, especially knowing that if you only make one trip to the grill, you can take home a carryout box. (Don't forget that those appetizers are amazing and you can always take those home. I left with three boxes of food for my family.)
  • HuHot has great hours, too. They are open EVERY DAY from 11 am to 9 pm. Weekday lunch is $13.99, dinner: $17.99, and weekend and holiday lunch: $16.99. Get all of their pricing and learn more by clicking HERE.

I believe that once you try it, you'll bring your friends and family.
