UNDATED -- Snow and freezing temps are near and it has MnDOT construction crews scrambling to finish paving projects around the region.

Paving work continues on Interstate 94 between Collegeville and Albany. MnDOT District Engineer Dave Schwarting says they are working on ramps, interchanges and rest areas and plan to complete the project by the end of next week.

Highway 25 in Monticello was a project that was delayed because of the government shutdown and crews are working to wrap that project up before the cold and snow. They are paving the southbound lanes this week and will switch traffic over Saturday or Monday. Final pavement lifts and traffic signals will go in next week with completion scheduled by November 8th.

Trunk Highway 301 near the St. Cloud Prison should be done by the end of today.

Work on Highway 10 between Clear Lake and Big Lake and on Highway 23 between St. Cloud and Foley will continue as weather permits. Both of those projects though are two-year jobs.

Finally, a paving project on Highway 23 at I-94 will begin next week and will be completed in 5-to-7 days. Of course all of these projects are at the mercy of Mother Nature.
