KELLOGG, Minn. (AP) - Wabasha County authorities say a propane truck that caught fire after colliding with a train might still burn for another day or two.

The truck was coming down a hill in Kellogg on Friday afternoon. Kellogg Fire Chief Jeff Arens says the driver saw a train approaching below, and because road conditions were too bad to stop the driver tried to beat the train.

Arens says the driver almost made it but the train clipped the back end of the truck. No one was hurt.

Firefighters decided to let the propane burn off rather than deal with hazardous waste. Arens said Saturday the fire could burn for another one to two days. He says there's no risk to local residents.

Kellogg is about five miles southeast of Wabasha.
